TRAINS IN A LANDSCAPE • Drawing inspiration from Pendon Museum’s ‘The Vale Scene’, this builder returns to his roots, modelling a tranquil corner of Sussex on the edge of Ashdown Forest.

COMMUNITY

A NEW CHALLENGE • Dipping his toe in TT:120 for the first time brought many challenges for this builder, who relished the opportunity to create this exhibition-worthy tabletop layout.

DIDCOT NIGHT • The railway at night takes on a different character; altogether more mysterious and ‘other-worldly’. David Franklin visited Didcot to take these photographs of freight locomotives at work and rest.

GLASGOW QUEEN STREET • Glasgow Queen Street station has seen considerable modernisation in recent years with the electrification of the high-level platforms, the platform lengths increased and a dramatic new station entrance. Apart from the Scot Rail HSTs, today’s multiple units are all now in the standard blue ‘Saltire’ livery. Gavin Morrison’s photographs pre-date these changes and show some of the locomotives and liveries that have now disappeared.

SOMEWHERE • A break from the ‘norm’ for this layout builder, who tackles an industrial theme with a split gauge trackplan, which comes packed with creative cameos.
